It is also projected to curtail carbon emission by about 128 metric tons annually, or equivalent to planting 2,150 trees.

The solar PV system is estimated to save DDVMH up to P20 million in electricity expenses over its 25-year lifespan.

“It is our privilege to have been given the opportunity to partner with a well-respected healthcare institution like Dagupan Doctors Villaflor Memorial Hospital for this environment-friendly initiative which aligns with our dedication in providing accessible and cost-effective solutions,” EEI Power general manager Salvador Salire Jr. said.

Officials of DDVMH and EEI Power attended the ceremony, attesting to their common belief on sustainable energy future as an important pillar of the global drive to address climate change.

DDVMH hospital and medical director Dr. Vivencio Jose Villaflor III underscored the hospital’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development through the adoption of clean energy sources such as the solar rooftop system through the partnership with EEI Power.

DDVMH is a private 100-bed tertiary hospital sprawling across a two-hectare area in Dagupan City which is part of the Mount Grace Hospitals Inc. network.

It has a team of over 150 highly-trained medical consultants and paramedical staff. The hospital is also recognized for its adherence to the latest healthcare standards and personalized patient care comparable to leading institutions in the region.
