Flowers, chocolates, balloons and Malasakit kits greeted lucky travellers upon arrival at four provincial airports on Valentine’s Day, courtesy of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
CAAP personnel gave away the gifts to plane passengers in Naga City, Camarines Sur; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Tacloban, Leyte; and Virac, Catanduanes, Wednesday morning, Feb. 14.
“Additionally, the passengers have the opportunity to capture their cherished Valentine’s moments with the photo booths available at these airports,” said CAAP spokesman Eric Apolonio.
At the Bicol International Airport, passengers were welcomed with a chocolate bar and a cuddly teddy bear crafted from a soft face towel.
CAAP director general Capt. Manuel Antonio Tamayo complemented the agency employees for this initiative, which delighted many passengers.
“We commend CAAP area managers for this (gesture on this) special occasion on Valentine’s Day that [provided] relaxation and [relieved] stress for passengers at the [airports],” he said.
This, he added, demonstrates the importance of passenger satisfaction at the airport, highlighting the airport’s commitment to providing comfortable and convenient travel for any occasion.
