President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. wished King Charles III of the United Kingdom a swift and full recovery after the latter was diagnosed with cancer earlier this week.
In a short message on his X (formerly Twitter), President Marcos expressed solidarity with the UK in praying for the hasty recuperation of their king.
“Sending my heartfelt best wishes to King Charles and Queen Camilla,” President Marcos said.
“The Philippines is with the United Kingdom in praying for the King’s swift and full recovery,” he added.
Buckingham Palace on Monday announced King Charles’ diagnosis with cancer.
“During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
“Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer,” the statement read.
