Biñan opens new building for PUP-CITE

BIÑAN CITY—The Biñan City government on Sunday inaugurated a new building for the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) —College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE) in Barangay Canlalay in conjunction with the observance of the city’s 14th anniversary.

Mayor Arman Dimaguila, Vice Mayor GEL Alonte and councilor Dada Reyes led the inauguration, also attended by PUP Biñan staff and officials, Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division of Biñan, city department heads, some students and members of media.

According to Dimaguila, this is the city’s visible way to provide quality education for needy students or those who cannot afford to go to college, in addition to the local government’s assistance in the Biñan Scholars program.

After the inauguration, the local government officials held a press conference to share the programs, projects, ordinances and resolutions passed for the continued progress and development of the city of Biñan.
