A lawmaker said the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) “is not ready” to implement the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP).
Bulacan 2nd District Rep. Augustina Dominique Pancho, who is investigating the modernization program, also said the LTFRB does not seem to conduct consultations with jeepney drivers and operators and does not seem to know how to implement the program.

Pancho, quoted by ABS-CBN News, also said the regulatory agency is not providing enough information to stakeholders. She urged President Marcos to study the PUVMP further, noting that many families will be hurt by its implementation.
