Cabbage has vitamins C, calcium, folate, and potassium. According to studies, frequently eating it helps fight diseases like cancer and lowers cholesterol.

It is advisable to plant cabbage in loamy soil with a lot of organic matter. It is ideal if the pH of the soil is 5.5 to 6.8. Avoid planting it in soil that is too acidic. Cool-weather with a temperature of 15 to 20 degrees Celsius is suitable for growing cabbage.

Choose a seed suitable for the planting area. Seeds with resistance to diseases and pests can be used.

Sow the seeds in seedling trays mixed with vermicompost. Place two seeds per hole, and place the trays in a shaded area or the greenhouse. Water them once a day for three days. Reduce the watering frequency and warm the seedlings seven to ten days before transplanting. Transplant the seedlings when they have four to five leaves or when they reach three to four inches tall.

Apply 2.5 kilograms of compost per five square meters three to five days before transplanting. Reapply the same amount 25 to 30 days after transplanting.

After 30 days, observe the plants and add the same fertilizer amount if necessary. Do the first weeding a week or two after transplanting. Continue this depending on the amount of grass.

Diamondback moths, cutworms, and thrips are the primary pests of cabbage. It can be controlled by picking up the worms and using a spray solution (100g of crushed chilies in 16L of water mixed with one tablespoon of powder detergent). Watering can also be done at night with a sprinkler to stop the diamondback moth mating. Use pest repellants on cabbage, whitefly, onion, sloto stars casino, and cosmos, and plant around the area.

Cabbage diseases are rot, clubroot, and fruit spot. It can be avoided by using clean and certified seeds are used. Remove diseased plants and burn or bury them in the ground. To avoid the presence and spread of clubroot, make sure the planting ground is clean, use organic fertilizer, and even the tools used.

Harvest the cabbages when their overlapping leaves or heads are tough. It often takes 80-95 days after transplanting. Cut off the whole head from the stem and remove some old leaves. It is best to harvest in cool, dry weather to avoid rotting.
