THE NLEX Road Warriors announce the addition of Deandre Williams Baldwin to their roster as the new import for the ongoing 2023-24 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Williams Baldwin, a standout player fresh from college, will be stepping into the shoes of Stokley Chaffee Jr., who played five games for the team.
Baldwin, a product of Evansville and Memphis, brings a wealth of collegiate experience, having spent two years at Evansville before contributing significantly to the Memphis team for the last three years of his college career.
In his senior year, he showcased his well-rounded skills by averaging an impressive 17.69 points, 8.17 rebounds, 2.91 assists, and 1.46 steals per game.
This marks the beginning of Baldwin’s professional basketball journey, and the NLEX Road Warriors are eager to witness the impact he will bring to the team.
On the departure of Stokley Chaffee Jr., the Road Warriors express their gratitude for his contributions during his five-game stint, averaging 22.8 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game.
With a current standing of 3-6 in the Commissioner’s Cup, the Road Warriors are gearing up for a strong finish in the elimination round with the addition of Baldwin.
The team is set to debut their new import on Wednesday, January 10, at 8 p.m., as they face the Converge FiberXers at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
