The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development is eyeing the delivery of the first housing units under the President’s Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program in Bacolod City in December.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Acuzar and Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez on Friday inspected the ongoing construction of the Yuhum Residences in Barangay Vista Alegre.
Initially, at least 288 units would be turned over next month, Acuzar said.
“This is in compliance with the order of the President to expedite the delivery of shelters to our beneficiaries under Pambansang Pabahay,” he said.
“These (housing units) serve as our President’s Christmas gifts to the beneficiaries,” Acuzar added.
The first building of Bacolod City’s 4PH project is already in the final stages of construction.
