GCash assured its users that their funds are safe amid their inability to make transactions since early morning Monday.
Gcash is the mobile wallet service owned by Globe Fintech Innovations (Mynt), and operated by its wholly-owned subsidiary, G-Xchange, Inc. of Globe Telecom Inc.
“You may be experiencing intermittent access to some of our services. Please bear with us as we’re working on getting them back up as quickly as possible,” GCash said.
“We will post another update for you soon. Meanwhile, rest assured that your funds are safe,” it added.
GCash was trending on X, formerly Twitter this morning after users complained of accessing the digital platform.
“#gcash, your service is clearly down. Calls to your hotline are promptly disconnected,” X user @jimoberman said.
“You need to treat we, your paying customers who rely on your service, with respect by providing notification that the service is down and an estimate when service will be restored,” the X user added.
Another X user @rosasmayoo said, “#gcash please let us know the estimated downtime as we have bills to pay.”
