Sta. Ana police nab Metro’s No. 6 ‘most wanted’ suspect

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Monday announced the arrest of a 27-year-old man tagged as the No. 6 most wanted person in Metro Manila.

NCRPO director Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said elements from the Sta. Ana police in Manila and captured the suspect Pio Cinco Marteja Sunday night at Block 1 Flood Way, in Cainta, Rizal.

The operation was conducted based on an arrest warrant issued by Judge Caroline Lacsamana Tonias of Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 7. The suspect was wanted for murder.

“During the arrest, our operatives used body-worn cameras and one alternative recording device as required and indicated in the Warrant of Arrest as may be necessary to capture and record the relevant incidents,” Nartatez said.

The suspect was detained at the Sta. Ana Police Station. No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.

During a 24-hour separate police operations in NCR, four more wanted personalities were also arrested. The suspects were involved in drug trafficking, theft, illegal detention, and robbery extortion.
