The Public Safety and Traffic Management Department (PSTMD) personnel of the City Government of Caloocan received 30 new ticketing devices on Wednesday, August 23, to aid in implementing the Single Ticketing System (STS).
The devices, distributed evenly to both North and South units of the PSTMD, are supposed to be fine-tuned to apply the penalties provided by the STS and harmonize local and national traffic regulations.
City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan reminded motorists to observe traffic rules and noted that the success of the STS rests on the proper cooperation between various departments of the city government and the general public.
Likewise, Mayor Along expects that the procurement of new devices for said city personnel will lead to fewer instances of corrupt practices concerning traffic management.
An additional ten devices will be provided to the CCPS in the coming days as part of their own traffic management responsibilities.
