V, a member of the global supergroup BTS, is set to return to the hit variety show Running Man to promote his first solo album.
Reports had been circulating online on Tuesday morning, stating that the BTS member would be making a guest appearance on the show.
In response to the report, “Running Man” first confirmed the news to the Korean media outlet Xportnews via a statement.
“V participated in the filming session on August 28. The episode is scheduled to be broadcast on September 10,” the statement read.
V will be releasing his ‘Layover’ album on September 8.
The show then took to its Instagram account to officially announce the news by posting a photo of V’s name.
“Running man X BTS V. September 10th [o]n [a]ir,” the post stated.
V, whose real name is Kim Taehyung, is the second member of the multi-awarded Korean group to appear on Running Man to promote his solo album, following Jin’s appearance last year with his album “The Astronaut.”
V is the latest member to release his solo album, while Jin and j-hope are currently fulfilling their military service. On the other hand, earlier this month, Suga announced that he is in the process of preparing his military application.
