Public Attorney’s Office chief Dr. Persida Acosta has received another award, this time from the 7th Outstanding Men and Women of the Philippines for her “unparalleled commitment as a public servant.”
Acosta was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award in Public Service at the Music Museum, Greenhills in San Juan City last Aug. 25.
In her acceptance speech, Acosta viewed the recognition serves as “a reminder of my lifelong commitment to public service.”
“I have been here for 22 years and seven months as a PAO chief defending the poor and those in need,” she said.
Acosta will also receive another special recognition from the Global Iconic Aces Awards today at the Okada Manila in Parañaque City.
She has been chosen as a Global Iconic public servant with outstanding dedication to public welfare and social services.
On June 30, Acosta received the Honorary Public Servant of the Year Excellence in Government award at the Nation Builders and Mosliv Awards 2023 also in Okada Manila.
She was also a recipient of the Lingkod Bayan Award, the Highest Presidential Award for Outstanding Public Service, from the Civil Service Commission.
