Over four months after their remarkable debut with three notable singles, members of Pluus released their single “Missing You” under Universal Records Philippines. The SBTown’s P-Pop boy group also unveiled the official music video for this song.
Portraying the emotion of missing or longing for a loved one, “Missing You” is a poignant ballad that has captured the hearts of many, despite being an unreleased song just a few months ago.
It was written after the song “Cross My Heart,” offering a glimpse into the internal struggle between the rational mind, which seeks to let go, and the relentless longing of the heart that refuses to give up.
While “Cross My Heart” is about letting go, “Missing You” tells the story of the complex emotions associated with yearning and deeply missing someone.
Pluus’ fandom, also known as Sum, has patiently awaited the release of this song, as the group has been performing this hidden gem since their debut showcase “Pluus +ime Is Now,” up to their recent local mall tours such as the “WeGo SUM-all Tour.”
The boys performed this new single at the comeback concert of their sister group, YGIG, which took place at the SM North EDSA Skydome. As expected, their fans absolutely loved every second of it.
Following the release of “Missing You,” Pluus became the cover feature of the “P-Pop On The Rise” playlist on Spotify. The song was also included in the New Music Friday playlists of not just one or two, but eight Asian countries: Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea.
Moreover, the boys shared heartfelt personalized letters online for their beloved Sum, just in time for their 4th monthsary celebration. In these letters, the group sincerely expressed their yearning for their fans.
