Actor and politician Ramon “Bong” Revilla, known for his roles in both politics and entertainment, recently appeared at a press event ahead of his 57th birthday on September 25. During an intimate luncheon, he openly discussed the achievements of his ongoing series Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis including some future projects.
The series is building anticipation as it approaches its final episode airing this Sunday. Revilla expressed his excitement for this episode, likening its significance to the series’ much-anticipated premiere.
“The episode on Sunday is my favorite. It’s always like that, whenever I do television series, the first and the last episodes always become my favorite,” said the senator.
In the casual interview, Revilla expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support extended by advertisers, which played a pivotal role in securing the show’s renewal for a second season.
“The series is doing well. We’re not just loaded with advertisements; we are overloaded by advertisements,” he said with a big smile.
Eager to keep the momentum alive, Senator Revilla said that the upcoming season promises to introduce an array of fresh talents, injecting new energy into the show’s dynamic ensemble.
Notably, Beauty Gonzalez, whose performance has garnered both public favor and affection, will continue to grace the screen.
“There’s no reason for her not to be my leading lady again in the second season. You’ve seen how the television viewers have embraced her,” Revilla explained.
Revilla also divulged plans for an upcoming movie, this time with young actress Jillian Ward.
“Lagot Ka sa Tatay Ko is the tentative title. The cameras will start rolling soon and hopefully, we’ll be able to have it shown in the cinemas by next year, probably in the summer. It can also be a Father’s Day movie,” the actor-politician added.
The collaboration between the duo recalls their past projects, a demonstration of their on-screen chemistry highlighted in previous Agimat movies. They starred together in Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote in 2010 and Si Agimat, si Enteng Kabisote at si Ako in 2012.
Asked about his birthday wish, the senator simply stated that he no longer has anything else to ask for.
“My career as a politician is doing well, my career as an actor is stable, and my family’s situation is good. I’ve advanced my platforms as a lawmaker. I don’t have any other wishes. To be honest, I could even pass away anytime,” Senator Revilla ended in jest.
