At the height of the economic storm that engulfed the Middle East in 2011, Erwin dared to dream big, setting the stage for a remarkable tale of resilience and triumph. He embarked on a journey that would test his mettle and push the boundaries of architecture and interior design.

From the moment Erwin stepped out of Adamson University in 2000, the world of design beckoned him with its promises. He honed his craft under the guidance of the esteemed Edith Olivers and Leo Almeria, who ignited a fiery passion within him for the art of interior design.

In a leap of faith, Erwin cast aside the corporate shackles and established his own design empire. However, the road to success was paved with trials and challenges.

Bahrain’s strict business permit process for expats was an insurmountable hurdle, demanding a local partner to enter the fray. But our undeterred protagonist, refusing to succumb to adversity, sought and found the right sponsor to light the path ahead.

In 2016, the tides turned in Erwin’s favor as the Bahrain Government opened the gates to expats seeking full ownership of businesses, giving birth to his cherished consultancy. With newfound freedom, the studio blossomed, merging the realms of construction and design under one harmonious roof.

Their creations transcended mere aesthetics; they aspired to craft spaces that whispered tales of inspiration to the hearts of those who inhabited them.

“Our philosophy is based on core values of innovation and mutual growth. We constantly strive towards adherence to high ethical standards and building long-term relationships with our clients. We believe that the best results are attained by involving our clients in the idealization process so as to ensure the design is a true reflection of your lifestyle,” Erwin shared.

Proudly embracing their Filipino heritage, Erwin and his team breathed life into their designs, infusing each project with a unique blend of philosophy and flair. The studio’s reputation soared, leaving local designers in awe of their innovative spirit and unyielding passion.

The doors of opportunity flung wide open when the prestigious Royal Family placed their trust in Erwin Ereno Design Studio.

“Right now we’re working with the Royal Family, the King of Bahrain. I think we’re the only Filipino company working with them. The project is within the military base. I think they’re more comfortable working with us Filipinos because our design philosophy is different we’re capable of designing anything base,” Erwin said.

Most of his creations are inspired by his client’s stories

As the seasons turned, Erwin Ereno Design Studio’s legacy transcended borders, reaching far beyond the confines of Bahrain. Their ingenuity graced commercial arenas like coffee shops and hotels, their signature furniture and fittings leaving an indelible mark on every space they touched.

Erwin’s story, however, was not bound by the realms of design alone. The spirit of entrepreneurship coursed through his veins, birthing various ventures across Bahrain, from a travel agency that unlocked the world’s wonders to a hair salon that adorned patrons with newfound confidence.

With an expanding portfolio and offices in Manila and Thailand, Erwin Ereno Design Studio continued to make waves in the architecture and interior design world, driven by their passion, innovation, and commitment to their clients’ visions.
