Newly-appointed poverty alleviation adviser Larry Gadon said he is setting his sights on solving problems related to nutrition and job creation among the youth.
During the Laging Handa public briefing, Gadon bared his “BBM: Bata˙ng Busog, Malusog’’ feeding program aimed to address the importance of nutrition and education for the younger generation.

In a briefing, Gadon said that he will ask private companies to adopt the feeding program as part of their corporate social responsibility to help schools in their areas.
He added that the implementation of the feeding program will accompany the country’s celebration of nutrition month in July.
The food stamp program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development will also run in July.
Meanwhile, Gadon said that cash aid or “ayuda” is a temporary solution to the country’s poverty problem.
The controversial lawyer claimed that instead of “’ayuda”, job creation is the answer to poverty.
Asked how he will solve the issue, Gadon said that he will focus on strengthening small and medium enterprises in the country.
He added that he will pursue stakeholders in aiding the micro industries.
