Uncontrollably Fond stars Kim Woo Bin and Suzy are set to star in a new rom-com series, much to the delight of Korean drama fans. The series will be penned by renowned scriptwriter Kim Eun Sook and is titled All Your Wishes Will Come True.
The project marks the reunion of Suzy and Woo Bin, seven years after their hit drama Uncontrollably Fond.
Inspired by Disney’s classic film Aladdin, the series will explore the story of Ga Young (Suzy), a woman who releases a genie (Woo Bin) in exchange for three wishes. Allkpop reported that “the lives of the two characters become intertwined as they face three wishes that can bring either luck or punishment. The ‘Genie’ struggles with anger outbursts and the loss of his former life, while Ga Young works to free him from his punishment.”
All Your Wishes Will Come True is scheduled to be released next year and will consist of 12 episodes. Fans are hopeful that the drama will fulfill their desire to see Woo Bin and Suzy’s characters end up together, in contrast to their previous work, which caused viewers “trauma” and “heartache.”
Kim Eun Sook, the esteemed writer known for notable projects such as Descendants of the Sun, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, and The Glory, is behind this upcoming drama. The director of Extreme Job, Lee Byeong-heon, will helm the series.
