“Avon connects people through the power of beauty and transforms lives for the better. The relationships we have are the core of everything we do. This is why we tirelessly work to support and elevate our people. By recognizing their needs and contributions, we create an environment where everyone can do purposeful work and enjoy a meaningful career,” he said.

The company has an established history of impactful workplace initiatives. It has introduced mental health and wellness benefits, paid menopause leaves, volunteer efforts for various social and environmental causes including ‘empties’ drop-off points that would be repurposed as ‘ecolumber’ bricks, service awards, and mentorship opportunities with organization leaders across the Asia Pacific region.

Avon’s people-first approach to creating the ideal workplace stems from the company’s commitment to empowering women. In terms of positive impact, over 20 percent of every sale of products go towards efforts to help women thrive as entrepreneurs. By creating a better world for women, Avon helps create a better world for all.

This drive for women’s empowerment is reflected in Avon’s diversity, equity and inclusion numbers as well. Women constitute almost 71 percent of all Avon employees, 68 percent of all mid-level leaders, and 83 percent of all senior leadership.

With the Top Employer Institute being the global authority on recognizing excellence in people practices, the latest certification was given in recognition of the company’s working environment and people-focused HR practices.

Earning the Top Employer certification is based on a company’s results in the institute’s HR Best Practices Survey. The survey covers six main HR categories which are further divided into 20 themes such as people strategy, work environment, training and skills development, and diversity and inclusion.

To date, the Top Employer Institute has certified over 2000 organizations in more than 120 countries, positively impacting the lives of over 9 million employees.
