Calamba LGU provided 7 vehicles and 4 motorcycles to Calamba PNP

Calamba City, Laguna – PRO CALABARZON Regional Director, PBGEN Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr., together with Calamba City Mayor, Honorable Roseller H. Rizal, graced the ceremonial turnover and blessing of four patrol motorcycles and seven patrol vehicles donated by the Local Government Unit of Calamba City which was duly received by the Chief of Police of Calamba City Police Station on February 8, 2023.

In his message, “This is part of the Calambagong program of the city to be used by our policemen in service, providing protection to all Calambeños.”

He added “This is part of the cooperation of the City Government of Calamba, the Calamba PNP to keep our city safe and quiet and promotes the programs that will be implemented by the PNP and Calamba LGU and this will continue as the city is a growth correigdor of the region so we have to keep it safe, quiet and progressive.” Mayor Rizal promised.

According to PBGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr, PNP Regional Director, “Truly we are in depth to the city of Calamba headed by Mayor Roseller H. Rizal for this donation. This is the largest donation received by the PNP Region 4A of vehicles in a city even in the entire province. He thanked Mayor Ross Rizal for the help given to their ranks and he promised that they will reciprocate this service by increasing safety and tranquility for the entire city. He announced the addition of police to the city. He said, “At the moment we have 207 police officers before it is only 187. He also promised to add 20 additional forces in the near future to help enforce peace and order in the city.

PCol Glenn Silvio, PNP Provincial Director also promised continued support in Calamba through the continued implementation of order and tranquility in the city of Calamba as well as in the entire province.

Calamba PNP Chief Of Police LtCol Melany Martinez thanked Mayor Ross Rizal for continuing support to peace and order programs. “This vehicles from our Mayor Rizal will give us more inspirations to do and be visible to all the vicinity of the city.” She also thanked PBGen Nartatez, Pcol Silvio for the trust to lead the Calamba city PNP. 

“The donation of these mobile patrol cars will surely provide immense help for our patrol officers in responding to emergencies quickly, increasing their efficiency and effectiveness, and enhancing their safety while performing their duties,” RD Nartatez stated in his acceptance message as he expressed his sincerest gratitude for the unwavering support given by the Local Government Unit of Calamba City.

Said activity ended with the blessing of the donated mobile vehicles officiated by Reverend Father Alex C. Pontilla, Parish Priest of Saint Vincent Church, Brgy. Real, Calamba.
