Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) chief Persida Rueda-Acosta is one of the top five personalities honored by the Junior Chamber International Senate Philippines (JCISP) that recently presented The Outstanding Filipino (Tofil) 2022.
The JCISP, led by National President Henry Juan Tong, and national chairman Tofil Awards 2022 Felipe Briones, held the awarding ceremonies under this year’s theme “Resiliency in Rebuilding our Nation” at the Rizal Park Hotel, Manila last Dec. 12.
With over 100 awards to date, including the 2004 Lingkod Bayan Award (the highest presidential award for Outstanding Public Service), Rueda-Acosta was hailed for offering free legal aid, particularly to indigent Filipinos.
The PAO has garnered the highest rating among the institutions and legal professionals in the justice sector based on a survey of the Social Weather Station with net trust ratings of +57 and +58.
