Lanao coops receive BTA agri facilities

Marawi City—Ten Lanao del Sur farmers’ cooperatives were recipients of post-harvest facilities, consisting of transportable rice mill apparatus units and generator sets from the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA).

The Office of BTA Member of Parliament Diamila Jam Dimimban-Ramos, said each of the 10 movable rice mill apparatus and grains de-stoner filters, is powered correspondingly by a 15KVA gasoline-run generator.

“(The) turn-over ceremony, inspection and demonstration of 10 Movable Mini Rice Mill and De-stoner with 13.5 KVA Generator Sets was held on November 14, 2022 at the Sahara Rice Mill Compound in Marawi City,” Disimban-Ramos, in a statement said:

The P12-million project is funded with the 2021 Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) of her office through the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) as the implementing agency of the project.

“The project is designed to help to provide support for the Bangsamoro farmers and help uplift the economically as a principal component of a sustainable, stable and progressive Bangsamoro community,” Disimban-Ramos said.

Initially, she said, she was represented by Sharia Law Counsel Rohania Malawi, “sharing our statement of profound gratitude for the successful launch of the project that the farmer cooperatives will directly benefit from.”

“We listened to the voices of fellow Bangsamoro to be the baseline of our intense efforts to be able to respond to their needs.

Alhamdulillah! This project will not only deliver opportunity for the Bangsamoro famers; it will also help uplift their livelihood and thereby improving the region’s economy,” she said.

She also urged the beneficiaries to take care of their units of post-harvest facilities.

“We need to come together as partners for the continuity and sustainability of these projects and become united in our pursuit for long-lasting peace and development in the Bangsamoro Region.

“Salic Mai, who represents Deputy Chief Minister Aleem Ali Solaiman profoundly expressed thanks that my office rightly places government provisions to the right purpose to effectively respond to the needs of fellow Bangsamoro.

During the ceremonies Chief of Staff Mujahid Al-Hussien was represented Cooperative Development Authority Assistant Secretary Pendatun Disimban, underscoring the successful initial stage of the project implementation.

Disimban-Ramos expressed hopes that the beneficiaries will be able achieve and sustain the objectives of the project, following the turn-over.

The ceremonies were also graced by the attendance of MAFAR Lanao del Sur Provincial Director Atty. Khalid Ansano, Station Manager Baelabi Shora Sabdullah ng DXSO Radyo Pilipinas Marawi at ang inspection team ng RBAC-MAFAR and representatives of the Commission on Audit (COA).
