Angeles City— A total of 4,330 city hall employees are set to undergo their Annual Physical Examination (APE) and medical history checking including blood pressure check-up, chest X-ray, urinalysis, electrocardiogram test, and blood test this coming November 2022.
Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said he wants to maintain the health and wellness of city hall employees here.
Lazatin said that it is also a proactive approach to ensure early detection and adequate treatment of any illnesses that city hall employees may have.
“We need to put a priority on the health of our employees dahil mas makakapagserbisyo sila ng maayos kung maayos ang kanilang mga kalagayan at kalusugan,” Lazatin said.
Among the local government employees who will undergo the annual physical examination are the 13 elected officials in the city; 1,217 permanent, casual, and contractual personnel; and 3,100 COS employees.
According to Lazatin’s Chief Adviser and Tactician IC Calaguas, the annual physical examination is an opportunity to check on the employee’s overall health status and further examine ongoing pain, symptoms and other health concerns.
“Mahalaga na bigyang priyoridad po ang kalusugan, lalo na at nasa pandemya pa rin po tayo, kailangan nating i-assess ang health status po ng ating mga empleyado,” Calaguas said.
To recall, Lazatin instructed Calaguas, together with Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, to coordinate with Human Resources and Management Officer Rowena Yambao and City Health Officer Dr. Verona Guevarra for the scheduling of the annual physical examination.
