A prominent producer of auto care products has paid tribute to six children of mechanics who completed a four-year degree through scholarship.

Clorox International Philippines commercial director Paulo Lao presented to the media the six 2022 Prestone scholars who studied at the STI.

They are Edmajea Aguinaldo from Taguig City (Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management), Aulinda Buban of Batangas (BS in Information Technology), Anna Riza dela Cruz of Naga City (BS in Hospitality Management magna cum laude), Christian Diamante of Batangas (BS in IT), Melver Masangkay of Batangas (BS in IT) and Harvey Plazo of Naga City (BS in IT cum laude).

Marites Dagdag, general manager of Prestone manufacturer Clorox International Philippines, said the graduates are all children of auto mechanics.

Dagdag said Prestone launched the Anak ng Mekaniko scholarship in 2018 to celebrate its 90th anniversary and give back to the hardworking and loyal auto mechanics in the country by providing their children with a four-year college scholarship.

Clorox Philippines is in the business of manufacturing, marketing, selling and distributing Prestone brake fluid, coolant and other functional fluids

“We thanked the scholars and their parents. This is our way of paying back our auto mechanics for patronizing our products. A good education is the most important heritage of what a parent can give to his or her child,” Dagdag said.
