National Museum of the Philippines Geology and Paleontology division chief Maileen Rondal views the Orconuma meteorite weighing 160.17 grams which actually was just a portion of a 7.8-kg meteorite that crashed on March 7, 2011 in Orconuma, Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro and was retrieved by three local farmers who hid it for nine years before selling it to international meteorite collectors John Higgins and Jasper Spencer, who in turn gave a small portion of the stone to the National Museum of the Philippines.
