After their highly-anticipated comeback last July 8, aespa set another impressive record with over 1 million albums sold in the first week, the highest sales ever for a girl group.

Circle Chart’s Album Chart weekly ranking shows that “Girls – The 2nd Mini Album” sits at number one, with 1,426,487 copies sold in the first week. The record previously belonged to BLACKPINK when they released “The Album” in 2020, which amassed 680,000 copies sold.
After they dropped ‘Girls’ last week, it took only one day for it to become “the highest first-day sales by any female artist in Haneto History,” according to Soompi.
