SAN MARIANO, Isabela – Eleven All-Purpose Vehicles (AVP) and two L300 vans were initially turned over to the barangays in three of the six municipalities of the second district in the province of Isabela following a blessing and turnover ceremony held at the Hilltop, Zone 1 here recently.
Rep Ed Christopher S. Go of the 2nd District of Isabela said patrol vehicles will help respond to the different undertakings of the barangays considering that mobility is essential.
“These vehicles are very vital in the fast conveyance of services to the constituents especially in emergency cases when every tick of the clock is important,”` Go said.
The legislator gives his message of support and challenge to the 13 barangay officials during the distribution of the vehicles.
“The patrol vehicles will aid our people in times of need and in transporting patients in far-flung areas to the hospital and during calamities,” he said.
“It was meant to better equip our local officials in continuing orderliness in their respective areas and for a more effective and competent response during emergencies and calamities,” Go stressed.
The young lawmaker advised the receiving barangays to take good care and maintain their new vehicles and to utilize them to help the villagers in times of need and use them in the activities of the barangay.
The event coincided with the lawmaker’s birthday on June 30 and was part of his pledge earlier to the barangays within his legislative district after which the elected officials of San Mariano took their oath of office.
This initiative of the hardworking and visionary leader at his young age said these brand-new patrol vehicles were sponsored by his family and private individuals.
Go said the remaining 30 barangays would be given vehicles in the next batch.
Meanwhile, the recipients of the patrol vehicles in San Mariano town of the L300 are barangay Buyasan and Tappa while for the All-Purpose Van, are Disusuan Ibujan, and Panninan.
In Benito Soliven, barangays Ara, Balliao , Binogtungan, Capuseran , San Francisco and Santiago received the All Purpose Van. Likewise in Naguilian town, barangays Aguinaldo and Tomines have their patrol vehicle.
Mayor Bobot, Rep Ana, and Board Member Christian Go along with the local officials, family and friends were around to witness the occasion.
Go has been widely known not only in the province of Isabela for his commitment as a public servant, especially in health services to save lives among the populace, and with his priorities to continue the road network projects to connect the different villages in District 2.
They look forward to the erection of modern roads connecting to Palanan and more programs and projects in the ensuing years for the constituents to gain from. #
