FAST Logistics Learning & Development Center: Enhancing competencies of PH workers in logistics industry through TESDA-certified programs

The Center will be key to driving talent and excellence in the logistics industry

In a first in Philippine logistics, FAST Group opened the doors of its Logistics Learning and Development Center in Cabuyao, Laguna with TESDA-certified programs to those interested in a career in logistics.

The Learning Center leverages on FAST’s experience of almost 50 years serving the Philippines’ largest multinational companies and conglomerates, in further developing the competencies of Filipino workers in the logistics industry and granting them better opportunities.

Each of the programs being offered by the Learning & Development Center were specifically designed to meet the needs of logistics industry workers across all business segments, cater to the needs of the organization and the industry, and encourage innovation.

The modules that are part of the curriculum form a wide array of learning and development programs that focus on areas such as leadership, logistics management, product specifics, supply chain, finance, human resources, information technology, as well as safety training for all types of logistics operations and processes.

Every module was jointly curated and developed by FAST Logistics Group’s industry professionals, training specialists, subject matter experts, and other partners. Related courses like Material Handling Operations and Supply Chain Management will also be offered.

In addition, the center also hosts various business segments of FAST Logistics Group’s product teams during their respective training sessions, and also offers the same service to clients and partners.

Currently, the TESDA-accredited program being offered is Heavy Equipment Operation-Forklift Training National Certificate Level 2.

Ongoing courses for TESDA assessment and certification include Material Handling Equipment Operations for Long Transporter, Counter-Balance, and Reach Truck. These are facilitated by two in-house NC-II TESDA Certified Subject Matter Experts.

Apart from its notable roster of programs, the center also boasts state-of-the-art facilities, simulation areas related to logistics, supply chain and warehousing solutions, for its students.

One of the center’s highlights is the 388-sqm. material handling equipment simulation area that’s equipped with machinery including a forklift, transporter, and racking system.

The facility also has a dedicated IT training room and a model room which has scale model warehouses, and safety, quality equipment.
