More than one thousand tricycle operators and drivers in Bulacan Tuesday conducted a province-wide ride in support of the presidential and vice-presidential tandem of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
The event, dubbed “Sabayang TODA Ride for BBM and Sara,” was organized by PDP-Laban stalwart and San Jose Del Monte City Rep. Florida Robes who is a staunch supporter of the Marcos-Duterte tandem. She earlier vowed an “overwhelming win” for Marcos and Duterte in her city in the May 9 polls.
More than 1,000 members of different Tricycle and Operators Drivers Associations (TODA) in Bulacan joined the ride that took place in at least 24 cities and towns all over Bulacan.
These areas included SJDM, Norzagaray, Angat, San Miguel, San Ildefonso, Baliuag, Bustos, Pulilan, Plaridel, Calumpit, Malolos, Hagonoy, Paombong, Guiguinto, Bulakan, Balagtas, Bocaue, Sta. Maria, Pandi, Marilao, Meycauayan, Obando, among others.
Each of the TODAs in the participating cities and towns ensured that their members joined in the ride. The group created a long line of tricycles as they passed by major thoroughfares.
Robes expressed gratitude for the successful event saying that it is a form of solidarity and support for the call for unity of the BBM-Sara tandem.
“Here in Bulacan, there is a big support for BBM and Sara and it is our way to show that, especially to their call for unity. I am glad to support this endeavor because this is also my way of showing my support to their call and the call of every Filipino behind their tandem,” Robes said.
