“Senator Gordon has been called out for his rude and insensitive behavior.”
It appears that a Gordon-less Leni Robredo senatorial ticket is looming.
This was after Robredo supporters called for their party leadership to drop reelectionist Senator Richard “Dick” Gordon from their senatorial line up, saying they can no longer tolerate the senator’s rudeness in the campaign sorties, even bring their call to the social media with the hashtag #DropGordon now going viral among their group’s pages.
They particularly lambasted Gordon, a reelectionist, over his rude behavior during the Robredo-Pangilinan People’s rally in Nueva Ecija where Gordon was tasked to introduce the tandem’s senatorial slate onstage. But what caught the ire of the supporters was when he called on Rep. Teddy Baguilat—Gordon, being insensitive, imitates a tribal dance to describe Baguilat, and then laughs about it later. Baguilat belongs to Tiwali tribe of Ifugao.
Netizens quickly lambasted Gordon with some posting comments on Twitter saying Gordon is not just simply imitating Baguilat, but he unashamedly made fun of his fellow candidate and what he did is a mockery to the traditions of indigenous people
I firmly agree with the observations of the netizens – that Gordon really needs to show some cultural sensitivity
But apparently, his arrogance doesn’t stop there. In a sortie in Surigao City, he grabbed the microphone from the Sen. Leila de Lima’s representative who is supposed to be the first one to give a speech onstage
And in a sortie in Zamboanga, he brazenly uttered to the crowd: “Ipasok ninyo si Dick! Sa balota ha? Hindi sa kung anong butas.”
However, Gordon’s insensitivity and hijacking of sorties did not go unnoticed. One Zena Bernardo posted on Facebook how she was shocked to have witnessed Gordon’s arrogance saying his impoliteness and sex jokes befit him only to the red strip of Olongapo and not the entire country.
She went on to describe Gordon as a freeloader and a great opportunist who enjoys free appearances on stage with VP Leni and yet, he never endorsed Robredo’s candidacy. Hence, Bernardo is wondering why the organizers still include Gordon in the list
Also, in Tarlac, a video of visibly irritated Gordon in the midst of Kris Aquino’s speech went viral, which further displays his rudeness.

Last Tuesday, a screenshot of a survey results supposedly coming from SWS showing Robredo fast catching up with Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard bearer Ferdinand “Bongong” Marcos, Jr., went viral in the social media.
This was after Laylo Report released the results of its latest survey showing Marcos with a whopping 61 percent voter’s preference.
The supposed survey result showed Marcos with a voters’ preference of 38 percent to Robredo’s 24 percent for a differential of only 14 percent. However, the uploader of the screenshot, realizing he or she used the template of Pulse Asia, quickly corrected the narrative, saying the survey came from the latter.
Unfortunately, the uploader failed to correct the name of another candidate Norberto Gonzales, who was listed as Ernesto Gonzales.
Pulse Asia was quick to disown the said survey results.

Anyway, with the latest 61 percent in voters’ presidential preference rating, frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos has maintained his kilometric lead, at a breathtaking 42 percent margin of difference over the closest pursuer from among his far distant rivals in the recent Laylo national survey results.
The Laylo Report which covers the results from its fieldwork research, conducted from March 15 to 22, 2022, with 3,000 respondents and a margin of error of plus or minus two percentage points, shows Robredo lagging behind at 19 percent, Isko Moreno at 9 percent, Manny Pacquiao at 6 percent, Ping Lacson at 2 percent, and the Undecided at 2 percent.
Marcos topped the Laylo preferential survey in all regions, with the Solid North delivering the highest voters’ preference rating of 86 percent. He also registered a voters’ preference of 80 percent each in Davao Region and the Caraga, with Socksargen at 67 percent, the Zamboanga Peninsula at 66 percent, BARMM at 63 percent, and Northern Mindanao at 55 percent.
The results in terms of demographics also show the runaway lead of Marcos in all classes. He registered 58 percent voters’ preference rating in Classes ABC, 62 percent in Class D, and 58 percent in Class E, which debunks Pinklawan claims they have the support of the elite and the laylayan.
With a little over a month to go, it’s almost safe to say we already have a winner. And he hails from the North.
