Actor Xian Lim considers working opposite Glaiza De Castro in the latest GMA fantasy comedy, False Positive, a big honor. At the same time, it made him get acquainted with the actress discovering along the way that they actually have some good things in common.
“Honestly, I was wrong with my initial impression of her. At first, I thought that she was a very intense individual, the type whom you can’t joke around with and who would just stick on the job and won’t let you distract her character internalization,” Xian shared.
“As our taping progressed though, I discovered what a fun person Glaiza is. If before, I was thinking about how to break the ice, so to speak, she eventually warmed up to me. She would crack jokes, too, and there’s no dull moment with her. She’s easy to deal with,” he went on.

Music is one of their common interests and the two thought that they could come together for a musical collaboration.
“True enough, we were able to come up with one on the set of our show. She also noticed that I can be a good balladeer and rapper at the same time. It’s cool.”
Glaiza’s moniker is Asia’s Acting Gem. Interestingly, what title would Xian want for himself if ever?
“Well, at first, I liked Asia’s Sensation but I realized, Christian Bautista is Asia’s Romantic Balladeer. I guess, Sensational Asian would be fine,” he ended in jest.

David Chua reveals that before he accepted to be part of the cast of GMA-7’s latest primetime offering Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune, he asked permission first from broadcast journalist and TV host Korina Sanchez-Roxas.
“She’s my boss. Everyone knows that I’m one of the directors of her news and magazine show Rated Korina that airs on TV 5, Kapamilya Channel, and A2Z. It’s good that she allowed me to say that if I have the opportunity, then I should do it. Anyway, if I’m not taping for the Kapuso soap, I can shoot segments for her program,” he said.
As for his inclusion in Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune, the former Kapamilya star is grateful to GMA for entrusting the role of Philip Lo to him.
In the story, he’s the henchman of Maricel Laxa for her to be able to get the fortune of the family of Boots Anson-Rodrigo.
“It’s a challenging part and I thank GMA considering that at these pandemic times, it’s hard to land an acting job. And because of it, I felt that I was able to get back my oxygen. It’s as if I came back to my original love which is acting. I’m very thankful for the chance to work with the cast whom I wasn’t able to collaborate with yet before. It’s a nice experience since they’re all very warm to me,” David shared.
