Motorists should brace for a big-time increase of up to P2.40 per liter of diesel and P1.90 a liter of gasoline this week, projections by Unioil Petroleum Philippines showed.
In its fuel price forecast for the January 4 to 10 trading week, Unioil said the price per liter of diesel may increase by at least P2.30, while gasoline may go up by a minimum of P1.80 .

Effective December 28, 2021, oil firms rolled back prices by P0.20 to P0.30 per liter for gasoline and P0.65 per liter for diesel.
Year-to-date adjustments for 2021 stood at a total net increase of P17.65 per liter for gasoline and P14.30 per liter for diesel, bringing pump prices for gas from P45 to P62 for gas and from P35 to P49 for diesel.
