The latest Writers Edition of Montblanc pays tribute to the talent and legacy of Joseph Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936), beloved author of The Jungle Book.
One of the most popular writers in the United Kingdom in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Kipling had a lasting impact on the world of literature as a major innovator in the art of the short story. Born in India, he was very connected to the country and its culture and became an enthusiastic promoter of orientalism.
The first English language writer to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature at the age of 42, he remains one of the award’s youngest recipients to this day.
Crafted in Montblanc Ateliers, the design of the limited edition writing instruments is inspired by The Jungle Book, a collection of stories about human archetypes in animal form; and If, a much-admired poem written in the form of paternal advice to a son.
