Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. is looking forward to increasing sales of its medium-sized SUV segment by as much as 25 percent to 15,000 units after launching the all-new Montero Sports.
Mitsubishi president Mutsihiro Oshikiri said the all-new Montero was a notch better than the previous model, with better safety and additional power features.
“We are confident we’ll sell better than the previous model. With all the upgrades, we have maintained the same pricing level of P1.8 to P2 million (per unit),” he said during the unveiling of the new model Friday at the Okada Manila.
The company raised the price of its vehicle in 2018 amid higher taxes brought about the imposition of the tax reform program.
Among the new safety features were lane change assist, hill start and descent control, multi-view camera system that limits blind spots when parking the vehicle and multi airbags system per variant.
