The new, much more impact-driven Miss Manila 2019, in partnership with various government organizations, will include girls from the 17 cities around the metropolis to widen its territorial influence and scope.

The Metro-Manila wide search will hold strict screening process for qualified candidates from the different barangays, another screening in the district level and after passing the stern test will be the representative of their respective cities (five candidates from each city).

“Miss Manila 2019 will be the stage for educational intervention using digital platform. We will teach our children about love of country and love of our cities. The eventual winner will talk about everything beautiful about her country, in general, not only her city. She will be a true winner who will help transform lives to talk about the good of everyone,” Lobaton enthused.

“Take for example, Miss Universe Catriona Gray, who was driven around her platform of transforming lives. She can be a very good inspiration for the candidates of Miss Manila,” Lobaton added.

Lobaton is the producer and organizer of Miss Manila 2019, presented by Sapphire Crown Media Productions, Inc., which she heads as CEO and president.

“Miss Manila is God’s gift to me. It is providential, so I want to make good of it,” said the 42-year-old, Lobaton who won best in evening gown and Miss PAL in the 1998 Bb. Pilipinas search.

Miss Manila focuses on education intervention on Arts, Culture and Tourism, as the heart of its advocacy under its platform “Finest Beauty, Transforming Lives.” The pageant promises to be grander, more colorful, and more purposeful. Screening of the candidates takes off in early November and the final roster will be presented in a sashing ceremony late next month.
