The Bureau of Immigration arrested three foreigners who tried to leave the Ninoy Aquino International Airport with spurious travel papers.

Arrested were two Chinese and an Indian national who were caught in possession of fake travel documents.

One of the Chinese nationals was identified as Huang Chenghua, who was intercepted before he could board a flight to Toronto.

The passenger reportedly used a Mexican passport with a Canadian visa that was found to be counterfeit.  He also presented a fake Mexican voter’s ID.

The other Chinese was apprehended at NAIA 3 for using a stolen passport and was identified as Wang Wenjiang. He assumed the identity of a certain Xu Shao Hong, whose passport was reported stolen and lost last Oct. 24.

The passenger was about to board a flight to Jakarta when the Immigration officer who processed him saw that his passport registered a positive hit in the Interpol database.

BI Travel Control Enforcement Unit Over-all Head Ma. Timotea C. Barizo said BI officers at NAIA 1 intercepted a certain Mahipal, an Indian national who likewise attempted to leave with fake Canadian visa on his passport.

The Indian national was about to board a flight to Toronto when he was stopped by members of the TCEU.

BI Port Operations Division Chief Grifton Medina said the aliens are now detained at the BI detention facility in Bicutan, (Taguig).

They will undergo deportation proceedings and will be blacklisted and banned from reentering the Philippines, Medina added.
