Members of President Rodrigo Duterte’s economic team will speak at the 3rd economic forum organized by the Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines tomorrow, August 27 at the Ayuntamiento de Manila in Intramuros, Manila.
With the theme, “Mid-Term Economic Review of the Duterte Administration: Prospects and Challenges,” key public officials and private sector reactors will discuss the impact of policies implemented by the current administration and the promises that are yet to be fulfilled.
Economic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia will open the forum, tackling the country’s economic growth prospects. Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Benjamin Dioknois expected to speak about the country’s declining inflation and its benefit to the country and the banking reforms that the BSP is instituting.
Bank of the Philippine Islands lead economist Emilio Neri Jr. and ING Bank senior economist Nicholas Mapa will serve as reactors.
