Saw the billboard of Ultherapy on the façade facing north of Guadalupe Commercial Complex on my way to Makati recently. There’s this huge photo of actor Richard Gomez (now mayor of Ormoc City in Leyte Province, the hometown of his wife) with Lucy Torres Gomez. Both are endorsing the procedure called Ultherapy.
Ultherapy, I learned, is a non-invasive or non-surgical option to lift the brow or generally used in lifting without the use of needles or injections for a more youthful look on the eyes.
Now, I know why Richard’s new look is vastly different from the photos I’ve seen in the previous years.
Yes, Richard is the first male ambassador of Ultherapy.
“We’re very excited to welcome Richard to the Ultherapy family,” said Jorge Libanan, Merz Philippines Country Manager during the procedure’s press event recently. “Ultherapy has been a treatment so many have enjoyed already, and we want to continue to encourage everyone, especially men, to embrace a better version of themselves.”
Many men have yet to be as open as Richard to talk about investing in themselves this way. Over the past few years, Ultherapy has paved the way for various women’s beautiful stories to be heard. With Richard speaking up now, hopefully more men will feel more confident about taking care of every area of their life.
“Alam niyo naman, tayong mga lalaki, kailangan natin ma -sustain ka-gwapuhan natin!” Richard said. “My skincare routine used to just be washing my face with soap and water, and I would just go to the dermatologist whenever Lucy would schedule something for me.”
In the end, it was Lucy who inspired him to try taking care of himself with Ultherapy.
Since then, he’s become more involved in the process. “When she had the treatment done, I had a lot of questions for her. I wanted to know what the results would be. Lucy said it would help improve my wrinkles and define my jawline. Syempre, gusto ko rin naman na pogi pa rin ako for her!”
With so much on his plate, another major consideration was how the treatment would fit into his schedule. “I was eventually reassured naman that it takes very little time to go through the process and I only have to do it once a year!”
“We have to be more open to these things. Hindi naman vain to want to look good!” Richard said. “You’re just pushing yourself to be a more confident version of yourself.”
Alden’s new look
Many are asking if Alden Richard’s new look is simply because of Belo’s Ulthera and his diet?
Well, well, if that is so, then many actors would also want to undergo the same procedure to enhance their look.
Indeed, it it so, I call it “miraculous.” Alden looks a bit different since I met him seven or eight years ago. He wasn’t fat then. Young, yes, but when he added more pounds as he was growing older, his face remained the same.
Belo’s magic “wand” did something to alter his physiognomy. His nose became a bit narrower and he now has a tip, unlike in previous years. His jawline also became narrower unlike in the past.
Well, whatever, Belo did for Alden to achieve that kind of look, the clinic did it for the better. And yes, he deserves a billboard for the procedure.
Kuya Escort denies relationship with Vice
Uh, oh! Now Kuya Escort or Ion Perez has denied he and Vice Ganda have what the French call une liason dangereuse.
But what the audience see in the noontime show It’s Showtime, is nothing but for show? Is that what Kuya Escort was trying to imply when he answered a writer who asked about his relationship with Vice Ganda? They have also photos on Instagram showing how not normal for a straight guy and a gay guy they are.
So, those who think they have something more than friendship have malicious minds? Is that what he and Vice would like to think?
Well, let them be malicious!
