A ship built by Filipinos docks at the North Port in Tondo, Manila on Aug. 17, 2019. Named MV Isla Simara, it is designed as a RoRo passenger or RoPax. This is the first vessel built by the Philippines equipped with Marine Evacuation System, a life-saving device found in many modern passenger ships abroad.
