With its increasing number of mosquito-borne viral infection, the Tacloban city government stepped up its cleanup drive and fumigation operations in the eight densely populated barangays in the city this week.
On July 18 and 19, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the City Health Office conducted mosquito fogging and cleaning operations in Barangays 65, 66, 66-A, 67 , 68, 69 and 70 in Paseo and Anibong Districts and 74-Lower Nula-Tula.

City health officials also advised residents to seek immediate medical help if they experience sudden high fever, severe headaches, pain behind the eyes, severe joint and muscle pain, fatigue, vomiting, and skin rashes, saying these are symptoms of dengue.
