Seda Hotels, the home-grown hotel brand of property developer Ayala Land Inc., recently opened a second tower with 342 rooms in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Seda Hotels said in a statement the second tower offers a ballroom that can seat 300 and a restaurant that can accommodate 220.
It said that with the addition of 342 more rooms, the new tower would increase Seda BGC’s room inventory to 521, consisting of guest rooms, suites and serviced residences.
“Seda BGC was expanded to keep pace with the surging demand for premier accommodations and facilities in the area,” said Seda Hotels senior group general manager Andrea Mastellone who opened the hotel in 2012.
The two towers are joined by an expansive ground floor lobby. The hotel retained its contemporary design theme.
Guests are expected to converge at the newly-opened Misto restaurant that offers an international selection which can be enjoyed on its daily breakfast and lunch buffets.
“Misto is one of the new building’s highlights,” Mastellone said.
Misto can accommodate more than 200 persons or six times the original. It also offers a private dining room for 10 persons and a semi-private area for up to 30 persons.
The ballroom is on the second floor of the hotel”•a likely venue for important business meetings and social events owing to the hotel’s strategic location at the heart of BGC.
Nearby are four meeting rooms that can accommodate from 12to 50 persons. These increased the number of function spaces to a total of 11 from the two towers combined.
Mastellone said some facilities and amenities would be transferred from the original to the new tower. These include the Club Rooms and Club Lounge, Straight Up roof deck bar, the gym and pool.
“All will be bigger than the original,” Mastellone said. Jenniffer B. Austria
He said the new room categories include executive suite, top-of-the-line Seda suite, studios and one-bedroom serviced residences which would open within the next few months.
Ayala Land now has 10 Seda hotels in Bacolod; Cagayan de Oro; Cebu; Davao; Iloilo; Nuvali, Laguna; Makati; Lio, El Nido, Palawan; Quezon City; and BGC, Taguig.
