7-Eleven honors top franchisees

Philippine Seven Corp., the local exclusive licensor of 7-Eleven convenience store chain brand, honored its top performing franchisees at the recent Franchise Appreciation Day.

The annual recognition puts prime importance in partners’ invaluable support to 7-Eleven’s undisputed edge over competition in the C-store category.

Odilio Alcaria (fourth from left) receives the most outstanding 7-Eleven franchisee in Luzon.  With him during the awarding ceremony are (from left) 7-Eleven South Luzon business unit zone manager Emma Nucum, vice president for supply Chai Richard Lee, PSC president and chief executive Jose Victor Paterno, Erika Alcaria (wife of Odilio), PSC operations director Whallie Fernandez and PSC business development division head Ulysses Borral.

Named most outstanding franchisees were Odilio Alcaria of Calamba, Laguna for Luzon; Dr. Virgilia Redulla of Bohol for the Visayas; and Lou Penaflor of Matina, Davao for Mindanao.  PSC hailed these outstanding 7-Eleven franchisees for their leadership and exceptional contribution to overall company progress.

7-Eleven offers suitable partners two ways to benefit from a proven system: regular new store franchise (open a new 7-Eleven store) and property conversion (convert an established business or properties into a 7-Eleven franchise).

PSC plans to add 350 stores this year to bring the total to 2,900 outlets.  It also aims to refurbish 100 existing stores aged six to seven years. The group has 12 distribution centers capable of serving 3,100 stores.
