THE FESTIVAL OF FESTIVALS. Several contingents from all over the country will showcase their respective town's festivals in this year's Aliwan Fiesta at the CCP Complex.

Manila Broadcasting Company, Star City, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines, in cooperation with the cities of Manila and Pasay, are staging this year’s Aliwan Fiesta which opened on April 25 and will run until April 27 at the CCP Complex.

Aiming to show local and foreign audiences the richness and diversity of Filipino culture in a single venue, Aliwan Fiesta harnesses the power of Philippine festivals to showcase how religion, culture, and tradition are woven in the fiber of our existence.

The three-day festival opened with a shoppers bazaar along Sotto Street at the CCP Complex, and a Pasakalye concert featuring Ben and Ben, Juan Karlos, This Band, and Extreme Lab.

Meanwhile, 24 lovely young ladies representing different festivals from all over the country take to the outdoor stage in front of the Aliw Theater for the Reyna ng Aliwan Pageant happening tonight.

The 69th edition of the country’s premier design and lifestyle event at the World Trade Center in Pasay City is anchored on the theme “Heritage Reimagined” as it features iconic and forward-looking collections under Manila FAME from its over 30-year run.

“Our goal is to highlight the most iconic styles and elements of past products and reintroduce them through modern interpretations,” said Pauline Suaco-Juan, executive director of the Department of Trade and Industry – Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions.
