Everyone is looking for ways to beat the sweltering heat this summer, and indulging in Pinoys’ favorite dessert, the famous halo-halo, is one of the easiest and best ways to cool off.
Kuya J’s halo-halo tops the list of many diners.
First introduced as the Kuya J Halo-halo Espesyal, this concoction is made of milky-smooth ice topped with homemade leche flan, sprinkled with crunchy cornflakes and drizzled with sweet ube cream.
It became such a hit among customers when it was introduced three years ago that the people behind Kuya J were always inspired to introduce a new variant every summer—starting off with the Ube Halo-halo Espesyal, which has rich ube ice and filled with macapuno, nata de coco, caramelized saba, ube jam, and langka; followed by the Saba Halo-halo Espesyal, which is loaded with sweet saba slices, yummy sago, and langka and drizzled with gulaman syrup; and the new favorite, Duo Halo-halo Espesyal, which is a delicious combo of the restaurant’s version of the classic Halo-halo Espesyal and the rich Ube Halo-halo Espesyal.
