This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

GOOSE was found in a dumpster with her two siblings by Migs Almendral last January 27.

The kittens were inside a shoebox, and their eyes were still closed, MIgs recounts.

“Their eyes opened on January 31 so I guess she was a month old by that time, “ Migs adds.

Unfortunately, Goose’ two siblings did not make it.

“But Goose, who I thought was the runt of the litter, survived, “ Migs says.

Migs shares: “From the first week I rescued Goose, I would bring her to the office or anywhere I had to go because she had to be bottle fed every two hours. Or else, Goose would not eat be able to eat for more than eight hours. “

“I am most invested emotionally and all to Goose because she was still a baby when I found her. It was difficult to take care of a very young kitten. Goose was so fragile then, “ Migs says.

Migs adds: “I used to wake up during the first few weeks every few hours to boil water to put in a water  jar and then I’ll wrap the jar with a towel and use that to warm her.”

“She is just so special for me. Oh, and Goose loves to sleep on my neck,“ Migs says.

TAGPI, a  five-year-old female pusang Pinoy or puspin, “doesn't really like socializing. She would rather stay in one place and stare, “ says owner Logie Kinko.

“She is snobbish when she does not like you. But she is very sweet to members of the family and she likes being treated like a baby,” Logie says.

Logie adds: “She is also adventurous.  But she goes out  after making a mess in the kitchen.”
