Headlining the innovation lab is the national finals of Diwa Pasiklaban sa Paaralan, the first and only ICT-integrated traveling quiz show in the country. Ten grade school and 10 junior high school finalists from across the Philippines will compete against each other on topics under science, math, languages, literature, and general information.

Meanwhile, families attending the fair can visit the Diwa booth where they can get a chance to learn more about latest technologies, one of which is robotics.

In the Philippines, robotics has gradually made its way from being a specialized activity in school science clubs to being integrated into the academic curriculum. With applications in science, information and communication technology, mathematics, and many other fields of study, robotics is becoming an essential part of innovation.

In the past year, Diwa gave robotics starter kits and held demonstrations to various educational institutions all over the country. Four schools, in particular, have risen to the challenge by creating innovative robocar designs. Immaculate Heart of Mary College in Quezon City, FAITH Catholic School in Batangas, Colegio de San Francisco Javier, and Saint Joseph College Maasin from Leyte are all set to showcase their creations at the Genyo DIY Robotics Workshop and Robocar Design Exposition at the 2019 Diwa Innovation Lab.

Aside from the Robocar Design Exposition, parents and kids can also experience flying a drone. The Drone 101 session will be open for kids and adults who want to learn more about drones and their functions.

They can also sample firsthand how virtual reality can be used in schools. There will also be various family games and trivia quizzes that feature the different educational product offerings of Diwa.

The finals of the Bato Balani Science Investigatory Project SY 2018-2019 will also be held at the expo. The top five schools with the best science investigatory projects for the school year will present and defend their output, as well as put their projects on exhibit. These schools are Canossa School from Sta. Rosa, Laguna; Saint Mary’s University from Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya; Holy Infant Academy from Calapan City; Bohol Wisdom School from Tagbilaran City; and St. Paul College Pasig.
