Clark Freeport—Tourists and guests in this Freeport will soon have a better experience of Kapampangan culinary delights and local products through Pampanga Food Street that will soon open here.
The Pampanga Food Street will feature 43 stalls, which will showcase authentic Kapampangan cuisine and souvenir items. It is located along the Cardinal Santos Street adjacent to the Parade Grounds.
The Clark Development Corp. Engineering Services Department recently announced that construction of the park will soon be finished to offer a better experience to tourists and guests visiting this Freeport.
ESD also reported that the development and improvement of the CDC Children’s Playground, also near the Parade Grounds, is ongoing. The work involves site development, landscaping, installation of playground equipment for the overall beautification of the site.
Other improvement projects in this Freeport include the asphalt overlay along M.A. Roxas Highway and the provision of bike lanes
The Pampanga Street Food (PSF) is located along the Cardinal Santos road near the 2.21 kilometres length parade ground of the former American base which was abandoned in 1992 due to the rejection of the Philippines Senate extension of the Military Bases Agreement followed by the eruption of Mt.Pinatubo in June 15,1991.
The culinary capital of the country will offer to the visitors different but delicious foods such as morcon, stuffed frog, water buffalo tocino, mole crickets, sisig, fermented rice with vegetables, bringhe, and crab fats, among others.
The street food park is part of the overall preparation of the region as the next growth center of the country for business, leisure, sport, tourism and families to enjoy during holidays and weekend. Romeo Dizon
