As I mentioned in a past column, I rely on my eldest son to tell me what new attractions there are here in the metropolis, as he’s the one who goes around town very often. This time, however, I heard about a new place from a former colleague who is now its marketing director.
I didn’t want to check out the place by myself so I brought my eldest son with me. Just as well. Because being the blue-blooded discoverer that he is, he took the time to check out every nook and cranny of the place and had a lot of things to say about what he saw.
I’m talking here of the newest mega-buffet restaurant in the metropolis, Six Doors 3D Barbecue Buffet, which, I’m sure, will soon be the favorite of foodies and discriminating diners.
Since my son had the patience to check out every single item on the kilometric buffet, while I enjoyed a few of my favorite entrées and a cold beer, I’m once again yielding my space to my son. Here’s what he has to say:
In the world of smokeless grill buffets, where “all-you-can-eat” is pretty much the same as “you-can-eat-all,” i.e., everything from A to Z, there’s little any restaurant can do to make itself different from the others.
Yet, newcomer Six Doors 3D Barbecue Buffet seems to be the right brand that can break the mold for this type of dining experience. It has a kind of magic about it that makes you leave the place full in more ways than just stuffing your tummies.
Located on the second floor of Bonifacio Global City’s Uptown Mall, this new entry in the metro’s culinary list engages one’s senses, from the moment you walk through its main entrance. With their 3D projections on the wall, the inner child in everyone will be mesmerized and entertained.
Children of all ages will also have the time of their lives interacting with the giant projected aquarium right behind the multi-purpose stage that has been set up for the musical entertainment lined up for the restaurant’s guests.
The regular tabletop grilling experience is amazingly complemented by the international cuisine prepared by chefs from all over the world. With food from all around Asia, Europe, and the Americas, this buffet restaurant truly gives you the World-On-A-Plate experience.
Since it wants to be known as the trendiest buffet restaurant in the country, it pulled out all the stops to get to that goal. With a whopping 228-seating capacity, its open dining area makes customers feel they’re dining with royalty. Replete with cozy, spacious, and elegantly designed furniture, the guests will definitely enjoy their culinary adventure.
Comfortable function rooms, for 10-40 customers, and equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment, are available for those who opt for a more private event.
The pinnacle of the customer’s awesome experience will have to be the restaurant’s VIP rooms. Each of the “Six Doors” leads to a unique VIP private enclave with visual projections on the wall that will “transport” the VIPs to any of the following destinations: Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Washington, D.C., and the City of Love, Paris.
Proud to have the country’s first and only table mapping projections, the restaurant’s VIP rooms guarantee the customers an awesome dining experience. Such is taken to a higher level as the dining plates and the spaces around them virtually come to life, with creative visuals in vivid colors prancing around, while guests wait for their food to be served.
These VIP rooms also provide a special butler service and an exclusive top-of-the-line menu selection, definitely assuring the guests of a first-class dining experience.
Six Doors 3D Barbecue Buffet, which officially opened this week, has married the best of international cuisine with state-of-the-art technology to truly differentiate itself from a plethora of buffet restaurants in the city.
If these other restaurants brag about their being “a door to a great culinary experience,” can you imagine what SIX DOORS can offer you?

When I see lovers’ names carved in a tree, I don’t think it’s sweet. I just think it’s surprising how many people bring a knife on a date.
