Internet fraud arrests

NCRPO chief Guillermo Eleazar, together with Internet Fraud Watchdog, the US Homeland Security, and Pasig Police present to the media the arrested 32 people, eight of whom are foreigners, directly involved in the ‘boiler room’ at San Miguel Ave., Ortigas, Pasig City. A boiler room is place or operation where high-pressure salespeople use banks of telephones to call lists of potential investors  to peddle speculative, even fraudulent, securities.
