For the fourth time in a row, Caloocan City under Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan has received the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance from the Department of Interior and Local Government.
Joining Mayor Oca in the event held at the Manila Hotel were Vice Mayor Maca Asistio, Rep. Along Malapitan, members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, and various city department heads led by Secretary to the Mayor Betsie Luakian and City Administrator Oliver Hernandez.
“This award is a collective effort of the Local Government of Caloocan and the people of Caloocan,” said Malapitan, who received the SGLG award from the newly-sworn DILG Secretary Eduardo Año.
In a statement, the mayor expressed his gratitude to Rep. Malapitan, Rep. Egay Erice, Vice Mayor Asistio, and the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod for their unwavering support to his administration.
He also thanked all city department heads and employees for their hard work in helping him serve his constituents.
Malapitan dedicated the fourth SGLG award to the people of Caloocan, saying: “They are the true heroes who support and inspire all of us to work earnestly and transform Caloocan into the progressive city that it is now.”
